Abidin Dino (March 23, 1913, Istanbul - December 7, 1993, Paris) was a Turkish painter, cartoonist, writer, and film director. A versatile cultural figure, Abidin Dino was one of the pioneers of contemporary Turkish painting. In the history of Turkish painting, he was one of the pioneers of art groups known as the D Group and the Newcomers Group.
