Emel Başarık graduated from the Interior Architecture Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and completed both her master’s and doctoral studies at the same institution. Alongside her academic practice, she has continued her painting practice since 2009. Her work focuses on the relationship between people, space, and experience, exploring the connections formed within temporary and anonymous environments. Constructed through photograph-based compositions, her works offer viewers a layered narrative shaped by time, memory, and emotion.
