Emel Başarık

Emel Başarık graduated from the Department of Interior Architecture at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, where she also completed her master’s and doctoral degrees. While continuing her academic work, she has been creating paintings since 2009. Her works focus on the relationship between people, space, and experience; she explores the connections formed through temporary and anonymous spaces. The scenes she creates through photography-based compositions offer the viewer a profound narrative centered on time and emotion.
